Jakarta Government and Police Hold Ticket Raid Emission Test, 66 Vehicles Fined

DKI Jakarta Provincial Government together with Polda Metro Jaya held a ticket raid emission test simultaneously at several points. As many as 66 of the 472 vehicles that were caught in today’s raid were fined.

“A total of 66 vehicles have been fined, consisting of 33 four-wheeled vehicles and 33 two-wheeled vehicles,” said DKI Jakarta Environment Agency Head Asep Kuswanto in a written statement, Friday (1/9/2023).

Asep further detailed the raids on 472 vehicles at 6 points. The details are 249 four-wheeled vehicles and 223 two-wheeled vehicles.

Of the 249 four-wheeled vehicles netted, 215 vehicles passed the emission test. The remaining 33 vehicles were declared not to have passed and were fined.

Then, 190 two-wheeled vehicles that were caught in the raid passed the emission test. The remaining 33 vehicles did not pass the emissions test which resulted in fines.

Meanwhile, the six locations for implementing emission test fines are spread across 5 areas of the City of Jakarta, namely the Sub-Directorate Office for the Legal Aid Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Industrial Street (in front of PPK Kemayoran) in North Jakarta, the Blok M area in South Jakarta. Then Jalan RE Marthadinata in North Jakarta, Jalan Pemuda in front of PT Antam Tbk in East Jakarta and in front of Taman Anggrek Mall in West Jakarta.
