Jaimie Vaes wants to get something positive out of the abusive relationship she had with rapper Lil Kleine. Since the beginning of this year, images appeared of how the rapper clamped his fiancée’s head between the door and the door of a car, Vaes has received hundreds of messages from other people in similar situations. And she wants to mean something to those people, she says in ELLE.
Vaes does not respond personally to all messages. “Honestly, if I had to respond to everyone who messaged me, I’d still be typing right now. But I’ll do something with it.”
Vaes sees that women and men are in similar situations and can’t figure it out. “I now have a voice and I feel that I can make a difference here. It may also help me with the processing. In any case, something beautiful is coming up, a project, which I can’t say much about right now.”
In the future, Vaes hopes to be able to put the situation behind him completely. “That in a few years we won’t have to talk about this dark period at all, but just about the fun work projects I do. I just want to be happy, that’s for sure.”
Lil Kleine and Vaes are currently not in contact. The rapper also does not see their son Lío (3), Vaes recently said. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
