Jaimie Vaes shares telling message after Oscar blow Will Smith

The reality star shares a message from Australian businessman Mark Bouris via Instagram Stories. In the photo of the Oscar incident, he writes: ‘It is a sad reflection of society that these kinds of images are made into jokes. The seriousness of violence is lost through irony. This was a hard blow. Was it provocation enough to get angry? Naturally. Does that justify “the king” hitting the dude? Never. Regardless of the emotion, violence is always the wrong way to express it. There is more respect in restraint.’

Yvonne Coldeweijer shared security images in February showing how Lil Kleine is believed to mistreat his fiancée Jaimie. The footage shows the rapper having an altercation with his girlfriend and pulling her out of the car by her hair. She has not (yet) filed a report. After the rapper was arrested for aggravated assault and was detained for a few weeks, he was released on conditions pending the investigation.

Will Smith has since publicly apologized for his misconduct during the Oscars ceremony via a message on Instagram. The actor, who won an Oscar for his role as tennis father Richard Williams, calls his behavior “unacceptable and unforgivable”.

Violence in any form is poisonous and destructive. The behavior I have exhibited at the Academy Awards is unacceptable and unforgivable. Jokes made about me are part of my job, but a joke made about Jada’s medical condition went too far and I reacted emotionally,” the actor said.

He continues: ‘I would like to offer my public apologies to Chris. What I did was not possible and I was doing it wrong. I am ashamed of what I have done and this action does not represent the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in this world full of love and kindness.’
