AIt is no secret in the Tamil film world that Rajinikanth took a short break after Nnatha. Rajini was looking for a suitable role for him. After two hours and 48 minutes, the movie Jailer ends and the writing direction is written as Nelson. Jailer is an action-packed film with an emphasis on humor and emotion. Jailer is really a theater vibe film.
Rajini plays Muthuvel Pandian, an old police officer who lives in retirement with his policeman son, wife, daughter-in-law and son’s six-year-old son. The novelty of Jail is that it shows Rajini without the usual intro song or grandiose entry seen in Rajini films. The film takes off when Muthuvel Pandian goes to investigate the reason behind the disappearance of his son who was investigating a notorious case.
Really mass Rajini’s arrival is later. Then many sequences hit the screen that rock the theater as if a fire was set on fire. One thing worth mentioning is the interval block. This is the ‘dining table’ scene where director Nelson has often proved his mettle. In this scene, Rajini does not do any significant action scenes but the audience feels the swag that shakes the theater.
Vinayakan plays the main villain in the film. It can be said that Verma, a Malayalee villain, really fills the picture. In many scenes, even when Rajini is on screen, Vinayakan scores the audience’s experience. The scene of Vinayakan trying to kill Rajini’s family is worth mentioning. In any case, Varma’s Jail protagonist marked Vinayakan’s number one role in his Tamil career.
Nelson tells his story through a series of cameo roles. Shivraj Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal, Telugu star Sunil and Tamannaah are all enjoying the story of the film by filling the screen with magic and comedy. Nelson has produced an action film in his usual style. The actors are well utilized in each scene along with the use of dark humor. Yogi Babu and Rajini combination scenes in the first part create a good response in the theatre.
It can be said that Anirudh’s music is the soul of the film. The song Hukum has already been taken over by Rajini fans. Anirudh has used that song magnificently in the film. And Anirudh has given the music in a way that hooks even in the emotional scene.
The Jailer shows that director Nelson’s attempt to bounce back from the trauma inflicted by the Beast is successful. It is supported by Thalaivar Rajini’s swag, cameo roles and a great villain role. Jailer is a complete entertainer that can be celebrated in theatre.
