2023 There are only a few more days to go. As people prepare to enter the new year with new hopes, it’s a good year for the film industry. Jailer was one of the most popular films in South India this year. Actor Vinayak was also successful with his performance in the film directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar starring Rajinikanth. Months after the film’s release, Jailer has achieved a new feat.
In 2023, Jailer has become the film that collected more than 100 crores from both language versions. This has been tweeted by prominent trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Apart from Tamil, Jailer also collected 100 crores in Telugu version. It is also the only film this year to achieve this feat in two versions.
The jailer was released on August 10. Mohanlal, Shivraj Kumar, Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan and many other stars were lined up in the film which received good word of mouth publicity from the first day. Rajinikanth played the role of Muthuvel Pandian. Vinayakan who came in the role of the accused Varman gave a performance above all the other actors.

Anirudh composed the music and the screenplay of Jailer was penned by Nelson Dilip Kumar. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is currently acting in Thalaivar 170. The name of the film is Vettaiyan. Directed by TJ Janjanavel.
