On September 9, 2023, the victim’s 13-year-old mother appeared before the Prosecutor’s Office to file a complaint against the accused for having allegedly sexually abused the minor, in events that occurred on several occasions this year.
According to the statement, the abuse and violence against the minor began when the victim was placed in the custody of her father so that she could study at an educational entity in Tumaco.
Furthermore, according to the mother, the minor told her that she was subjected to physical violence by the insured, who justified the beatings as acts of correction, due to her daughter’s “bad behavior.”
Once the investigations and the collection of evidentiary material of sexual abuse and violence against the minor began, a criminal judge with control of guarantees issued an arrest warrant against the man, which was carried out by members of the National Police in this port of Nariño. .
During the concentrated hearings, the defendant did not accept the charges and the prison security measure became firm.
