At the request of a prosecutor from the Life Unit of the Department of Bolívar, a bail control judge imposed a security measure in a prison facility against a 19-year-old woman, who is said to be responsible for the crime of mass murder.

The legal decision refers to events that took place on August 14 in a home in the Membrillal region where the defendant apparently suffocated her 14-month-old son with a pillow. After that, he reportedly injured his left wrist with a sharp weapon.

As it was confirmed, the father of the minor came to his partner’s residence to leave money for his son and he understood the situation so he called the authorities. The woman was treated at a health center and is recovering from her arm injury.

At the preliminary hearings, the accused denied responsibility for the allegations. By judicial order, his confinement will be held in the San Diego prison in Cartagena.
