The British automaker will carry out a large-scale reorganization – Jaguar Land Rover will change its name and abandon one of the brands.
The British will abandon the Land Rover brand, and the name Jaguar Land Rover, which appeared after the purchase of brands by Tata, turns into JLR, without deciphering. It is also planned to abandon long model names, for example, Land Rover Range Rover Velar, and the Jaguar brand will be refocused on the production of luxury electric vehicles.

Instead of Land Rover, the British concern will produce cars under the independent brands Range Rover, Defender and Discovery. Range Rover SUVs and the recently replaced Range Rover Sport will remain flagships, with an electric version of the Range Rover to be added to the range by the end of the year.
Brand Jaguar after the change of concept will be engaged in the production of electric vehicles. In 2024, there will be a sports electric sedan with a range of 700 kilometers, built on the new Jaguar Electrified Architecture (JEA). In total, the brand has three new models that will appear within five years.
The Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Velar and Discovery Sport crossovers, as well as the secret Defender successor, will switch to a new all-electric architecture. Jaguar Land Rover itself, after changing its name to JLR, will switch to a direct sales system. Customers will be able to order cars directly from the factory. At the same time, car dealerships will only demonstrate the model range and issue cars to customers.
