This is particularly good news for prospective customers, as the standard warranty in the automotive industry is three years. From now on, all new Jaguar cars will have a warranty of five years or up to 150,000 km, whichever comes first. Throughout the warranty period, the British manufacturer undertakes to correct assembly defects and replace defective parts, if they meet the warranty conditions, completely free of charge.

A longer warranty ensures predictability of service and running costs and further reinforces the value of Jaguar’s excellent machines.

Jaguar predicts that the 5-year warranty will have a positive effect on the car’s residual value. That’s good news for customers, as higher residual value ultimately translates into lower lease payments.
Ralf Zulcbach, Senior Project Manager, Autovista Group Consultancy, says: “A longer warranty demonstrates Jaguar’s confidence in the quality and reliability of its cars and has the potential to increase the residual value of these machines by as much as 2%. In addition, we see other benefits as well. For example, costs are better predictable because all or at least most of the car parts have a warranty.”
A five-year warranty combined with the InControl Remote mobile app, which not only makes it easier to get help in the event of a car breakdown, but also includes automatic emergency calls and the ability to communicate with your car from anywhere in the world, will make life much easier for any Jaguar owner.
