Vijayawada – YSR Congress President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy injured in stone pelting. Unidentified persons pelted stones at Jagan during election campaigning in Vijayawada’s Ajit Singh Nagar on Saturday night. The stone was placed above the left eye. Vijayawada-West MLA Vellampally Srinivas, who was with Jagan, sustained an injury in his left eye.
The incident took place during the ‘Memantha Siddham’ bus journey conducted by Jagan as part of the campaign. While the workers were busy welcoming Jagan with a huge garland using a crane, someone from the crowd threw a stone. The national media reported that Jagan did not have a stone in his eye by a slight difference.
Immediately, emergency medical care was provided to the Chief Minister inside the bus. Jagan has two stitches on his face. After this, Jagan continued his journey. The YSR Congress leaders alleged that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was behind the stone pelting. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
