Jaecoo J7 vs Haval Dargo X: Ultimate Winter Parking Test Results

Parking a car in Moscow this winter is quite a quest. Half of the places along the roads are covered with snow, in which single-wheel drive cars flounder helplessly. However, the Jaecoo J7 grinds the snow porridge with all four wheels and easily fits into a pocket from which a front-wheel drive SUV has been driving for about ten minutes. However, this is only the beginning of our test, in which the first-born of the Jaecoo brand will measure its strength with the Haval Dargo X crossover. The latter has not only all-wheel drive, but also a rear cross-axle differential lock.

The hunter and the dog are, of course, a couple! Dargo in its native Chinese market is called DaGou, that is, “big dog”. And the name Jaecoo is derived from the German Jaeger (“hunter”) and the English cool (“cool”). The appearance of this brand in the structure of the Chery company could have gone unnoticed, but the brutal appearance and good level of equipment of the Jaecoo J7 model still arouse interest. In terms of technology – the same Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, but put them side by side – heaven and earth. The pixel lighting technology and retractable handles, which are still perceived as a piece of “premium,” attract attention.

The retractable handles worked in the cold without any whims. As well as contactless access sensors on the front doors

There is a keyless entry sensor on the driver’s door and it works reliably. Although, through the menu, you can program fully automatic unlocking and locking of the machine. In this case, you don’t even need to bother with open windows or a hatch – you just move five meters away from the car, and it itself locks the doors, rolls up the windows and lowers the roof. Great! But the fact that the Jaecoo, like many other Chinese cars, beeps loudly if, without turning off the engine, you go out with the key in your pocket to brush away the snow, is not at all great. When you wake up in the morning to the beeping sound of your neighbor’s cars, this feature begins to frankly make you angry.
