Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – HMD Global, the Finnish mobile phone maker, will bring its iconic Nokia phone to life again. HMD will bring the Nokia 6300 and Nokia 8000 back to life.
This old but new cellphone will be provided with several modern features such as 4G internet technology, WiFi and several smart features, as quoted from PhoneArena, Wednesday (4/11/2020).
The Nokia 6,300 was first released in 2007. It is a mid-range phone with a durable stainless steel body with a 2 MP rear camera and is one of the best-selling Nokia handsets of that era.
The Nokia 8000 was one of the premium Nokia phones of its time. This phone has a slide to open and close keypad with a 2 MP camera.
Before bringing back these two types of mobile phones, HMD Global has launched the classic Nokia 3310, Nokia 8810 called banana phone, Nokia 2720 to Nokia 5310 XpressMusic.
Previously, Chief Commercial Officer of HMD Global Per Ekman revealed the reason he was happy to release a classic cellphone that was once famous in his day. Though fans of this phone are very few and very segmented.
“We sell more feature phones than smartphones today,” said Per Ekman as quoted from Digital Trends “We believe there is value in our feature phones.”
