Jadrian Clark: 2023 MVP Returns to Rhein Fire for 2024 Season

2023 was a record-breaking season for the Rhein Fire overall and also for quarterback Jadrian Clark. He doesn’t care much about it, but his individual achievements with, for example, eight touchdown passes in one game and 53 in total are unlikely to be surpassed any time soon. Consequently, Clark was named the best player in the European League of Football (ELF) in all individual awards and received the award as “Most Valuable Player” (MVP).

In the coming season, Clark will now try to repeat or even top this incredible season: The 29-year-old has re-signed with Rhein Fire and will return to the team in 2024. Both sides wanted it and succeeded, Fire had prepared this gift for its fans on Christmas Eve and officially announced the news.

“I gave it my all with every snap. Today I can proudly extend this chapter. Dedicated to the team and driven by the love of the game,” Clark is quoted as saying in the statement. “Here’s to more wins and more memories. To the fans: Your dedication fuels our journey. Let’s make it unforgettable together!”

Clark is entering his fourth year in the ELF and his seventh in Europe overall. During this time he has won three titles so far: the Eurobowl in 2018 with the New York Lions from Braunschweig, the Austrian championship title with the Vienna Vikings in 2020 and the ELF title with Rhein Fire in 2023.

Clark is currently using the offseason to complete his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in England. At the University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol he also plays for the UWE Bullets in the college league. In terms of sport, however, it’s not a big challenge; so far, Clark and his teammates have won every game by a wide margin.

But that’s not the point, studies come first, “Football is secondary,” Clark told our editorial team in October. Only from April on will his sporting focus be completely on Rhein Fire again, where he will try to defend the title in the ELF – and perhaps break a record or two in the process.
