Jacques and Gabriella have been inseparable since birth. In recent years they have also been in class together. Now that the summer holidays are over, they are back to school. “Jacques and Gabriella were both very happy to see their friends again after such a long holiday. It is also the very first time that they are not in each other’s class,” says Charlene.
Charlene is aware that it is not easy for them. “It is of course a big step for them and that is good for them. Like any other student, they had all kinds of expectations about their first day in a new class, about their classmates and teachers, but also about what they would wear.”
Jacques and Gabriella attend a private school called L’Institution François d’Assise-Nicolas Barré in Monaco. The separation is not the first challenge in the field of education: in 2021 they will be taken out of school for a longer period of time and will be taught at home, as a result of Charlene’s admission to a clinic. After her return, the children are also placed back at school.
Although she is now back home, Charlene is still not doing well.
