President Nicolás Maduro appointed Jacqueline Faría as Head of Government of the Capital District (GDC).
The designation was published in Official Gazette number 4,266, dated August 17, 2020.
Faría has the task of continuing the work carried out by the leader Darío Vivas, who died last Thursday, August 13, due to complications with the covid-19.
In April 2009, Commander Hugo Chávez appointed the current president of the Superior Organ of the Venezuela Bella Mission as the first head of government of the Capital District and was subsequently ratified by Maduro in 2013, until October 2014.
