The president of the Xunta de Galicia, Alberto Núñez Feijóo visited the Ourense bus station in the company of the Regional Minister of Infrastructure, Ethel Vázquez; the subdelegate of the Government, Emilio González and the mayor of the city, Gonzalo Pérez Jácome.
A visit that the Ourense councilor took advantage of to claim more commitment to the city from the autonomous government. Jácome celebrated the infrastructures “that comes to us, but they cannot kill our ambition or lose perspective. We receive less from other cities”. The mayor referred to Ourense, once again, as “Cinderella from Galicia”.
In this sense, Gonzalo Pérez criticized that “here the new station of around one hundred and something million euros, no matter how much is said, it seems that it is neither there nor expected“.

In response, Alberto Núñez Feijóo affirmed that the regional administration has fulfilled its part, and that it is now up to the central government to finish the reform of the railway station according to the modification signed in 2016.
On the other hand, when the regional president asked about the reissue of the PP pact with Jácome in the city, he stated that they will continue trying to give stability to the city.
