A former butcher-restaurant in the Saint-Brice district, he was elected mayor of the free commune of Saint-Brice on November 7, 1980. He is the founder of this association which has organized numerous festive events over the past forty years.
From the Beauceron festival to the dog festival, passing through the horse festival, marked by the participation of the Republican Guard, up to the harvest festival in the last fifteen years.
The gold medal of the city
On September 27, 2022, Jacky Baroche, since 2021 honorary president of the Free Commune of the village of Saint-Brice, received the gold medal of the city from the hands of Jean-Pierre Gorges, mayor of Chartres.
