Jacksonville Jaguars verpflichten Tim Tebow

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed Tim Tebow. The team officially announced this.

Tebow is listed as a tight end by the Jaguars. The former quarterback will fight for a place in the team’s final 53-man roster in the coming months.

“I would like to thank the Jaguars for the opportunity to prove myself and the chance to be part of this team. I know it will be a challenge, but I will accept it,” said Tebow. “I’m looking forward to receiving instructions from our coaching staff and learning from my teammates.”

At the beginning of the month, Tebow had already completed a trial training session as a tight end for the Jaguars. Even then, it was assumed that Jacksonville would sign the 33-year-old.

In Jacksonville, the former college superstar met his former coach and sponsor Urban Meyer. Tebow last played in the NFL in 2012 for the New York Jets. In 2013 and 2015 he trained with the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles, but did not make it into the final roster.
