What a big blow and what a surprise from Standard: Jackon Muleka, whose European debut is eagerly awaited, will join Sclessin, who may be welcoming his new star striker there.
The name of Jackson muleka (20 years old) has been circulating for many months in several European clubs: in Belgium, where Anderlecht had been cited, but also in Lens and at LOSC. An interest which is explained by the precocity of the Congolese: top scorer in the African Champions League 2019-2020 (at least to date, the edition is not yet over), he presents very impressive statistics with TP Mazembe – one goal every two games, approximately.
Admittedly, these figures are not comparable with those of Dieumerci Mbokani at the time, when the current top scorer in the championship joined Anderlecht with a ratio of almost one goal per game for the Ravens. But Muleka has probably been one of the greatest talents in Congolese football for many years, and we know the tradition of successes from DRC to Belgium – Standard having had its share, with Christian Luyindama as the most recent example.
The double top scorer in the Congolese championship will therefore not make a Trésor Mputu, presented by many as one of the most talented strikers in Africa but who, from a false start to a false start, has never left the continent and will have been quoted several times at Standard, even announcing his signing with Rouches in 2009.
