On April 7, one of the most popular stuntmen in the world, actor and producer Jackie Chan turned 70 years old. He shared that he could not believe his age.
“After I recovered from the shock, the second thing that came to my mind was a saying that my older brother, Sammo Hang, once said: ‘To be able to grow old is happiness.’ we are lucky that we can grow old”, – said Jackie Chuck, emphasizing the dangers of the profession.
He reassured fans who were worried about his health after a series of photos were released showing Chan looking visibly aged.
“I want to take this opportunity to let everyone know: don’t worry! This is just the look of the character for my latest film. The character requires me to have gray hair, a white beard and look old. Over the years, I’ve always been willing to try something new for film, regardless of whether it is a complex stunt or a breakthrough character appearance,” the actor assured.
He recalled that he has been acting in films since the age of 8, noting that he appreciates every moment and is glad that he is still working on the set. He thanked everyone for the greetings and shared archival photos.
“I chose a few to share in this post. Looking at these photos brings back so many good memories. All I can say is, I love doing movies and I love you all,” Chan added.
