Jack White certainly can’t complain about a boring life. The 83-year-old native of Cologne was a professional footballer, singer, composer, producer – and is now in his fourth marriage.
On Monday (October 30, 2023), family happiness was enriched by another chapter: wife Rafaella (38) gave birth to daughter Angelina Melody, the couple’s second child after Maximilian Noah (4), with an age difference of an impressive 44 years.
Jack White was born Horst Nußbaum in Cologne in 1940
Part of the strange family story: White is a grandfather of two and even became a great-grandfather once, and now he has become a father again himself. “We’re doing great, we’re the happiest family in the world,” said the father of seven.
He expects his wife to be released from the hospital by Thursday (November 2nd) at the latest: “It’s wonderful. I’m happy to have people around me who love me. It keeps me young,” White said. He doesn’t fear sleepless nights: “I get my eight to nine hours of sleep every day. The baby is sleeping in another room.”
White, born Horst Nußbaum in Cologne in 1940, initially made his career as a footballer as a young man, playing for Viktoria Köln under Hennes Weisweiler, among others.
But his life was devoted to music from an early age. As a composer, White is responsible, among other things, for “Looking for freedom”, which was made world famous by David Hasselhoff. German songs such as “A new love is like a new life” (Jürgen Marcus) and “Schöne Maid” (Tony Marshall) were also written by him. White later became a producer and worked with numerous stars – he was considered a German music legend.
Today, Jack White is above all a family man and lives a healthy life
Today, White is above all a family man. And his loved ones should have something from him for a long time to come. “I have never touched a cigarette. “I drink very, very little alcohol and have learned how to eat sensibly – and that you should exercise every day,” says White. “I have a blood pressure of 120 to less than 70. Who has that at my age?”
Yes, he wants to grow old. After all, he wrote the song “I’ll be 100 years old” for Johannes Heesters. “And then Jopi turned 108. Logically, I want to beat my artist,” said the 83-year-old.
He has no plans for the coming years. “I live wonderfully. I have the most beautiful house here in Berlin, I have my friends, I have my regular restaurants. “I know the world and I’m no longer curious,” said White. (with dpa)
