Is Jack Hinshelwood wearing football’s smallest shin guards?
Referee Tim Robinson could hardly believe his eyes when he found a small piece of white plastic in the grass.
He can now and then hold the football world’s smallest shin guards.
Owner: Jack Hinshelwood, 18.
In Brighton’s 2-0 defeat at Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, youngster Jack Hinshelwood was substituted midway through the first half after Joel Veltman was forced off through injury.
The midfielder has already made a few appearances in the Premier League despite his young age.
But today he was not recognized for his footballing efforts.
Instead, it was his equipment that raised some eyebrows.

Airpods and shrimp chips
Namely, Hinshelwood is a potential candidate to own the football world’s smallest shin guards.
It was all discovered by referee Tim Robinson at the end of the first half when he found one of the covers on the grass and wondered what it was.
He passed it on to Pascal Gross who then passed it on to the rightful owner.
On social media, the leg protectors are compared to, among other things, Airpods and shrimp chips.
The rules state that players must wear shin guards, but nothing about how big they should be.
