Mexico is the first country to launch the Jack Daniel’s and Coke ready-to-drink cocktail, made with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Coke and inspired by the classic bar cocktail.
Midway through this year, Jack Daniel’s and Coca Cola announced they would join forces to offer consumers a drink inspired by one of the world’s most famous “barcalls,” a cocktail that is ordered under specific brand names, in a convenient, ready to use format.
According to information from the brands, the first product resulting from this collaboration has already arrived in Mexico and will expand to other global markets, including North America and Europe, throughout 2023.
“We are thrilled to be the first country to bring the iconic Jack Daniel’s cocktail and Coke to consumers in a ready-to-drink format,” said Francisco Baeza, vice president and general manager of Brown-Forman Mexico. “While they’ve long been produced in homes and bars around the world, today we’re officially introducing the leading premium brand’s spirit and premium brand’s carbonated soft drink in one portable can.”
“It’s an exciting day for both of our brands. As we develop our beverage portfolio, our focus continues to be on meeting consumer needs,” said Roberto Mercadé, president of Coca Cola México. “Jack Daniel’s and Coca Cola are iconic brands that consumers have been combining for years. We look forward to seeing our two brands thrive together, reaching new fans through this collaboration.”
The can and packaging will include symbols indicating that the drink should be enjoyed responsibly and only by persons of legal age. Jack Daniel’s and Coca Cola ready-to-drinks will adhere to Brown-Forman and Coca Cola’s responsible marketing practices.
The ABV (alcohol by volume, volume of alcohol) will vary by market. A sugar-free version of the drink will also be available.
The global launch took place last Friday the 11th in Cancun, the territory of Bepensa, a certified Coca-Cola bottler.
Jack Daniel’s was founded in 1866 in Lynchburg, Tennessee, and the Coca Cola brand was founded in 1886 in Atlanta.
