Information about Jacek Sasin’s participation in the signing of the contract between KGHM and the American company NuScale was provided by the Polish embassy in Washington. The visit of the deputy prime minister to the US will start on Sunday, February 13, and its first official point will be the signing of the contract a day later. KGHM i NuScale They initially signed the agreement last year – it concerns the construction of small modular reactors (SMR). The signing of the contract on February 14 is only to close the transaction that involves the construction of four NuScale units, with a capacity of 77 MWe each – informs PAP, although the preliminary agreement provided for the construction of 1 to 12 reactors.
According to the announcements of the Ministry of State Assets, Sasin and the president of KGHM, Marcin Chludziński, are also planning to visit the head of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, and the US Minister of Energy, Jennifer Granholm. On Tuesday, February 15 in New York, Jacek Sasin is to visit the Stock Exchange and meet with its management board.
