Integrated cross rail light rail (LRT) Jabodebek had an accident on the overpass section of Munjul, East Jakarta, Monday (25/10). Two LRT trains are reportedly in the trial phase.
“That’s right. So on the Munjul LRT, yes. Our firefighters have launched one unit from rescue from the Cipayung sector to the location,” said East Jakarta Fire Department Operational Section Head Gatot Sulaeman when contacted.
Gatot said the LRT train was in the trial phase. According to the information he got, the train had no passengers.

From the video circulating, the LRT train was damaged. One of the carriages seemed to be lifted. The exact chronology of the incident is not yet known.
PT KAI and PT INKA have not provided an explanation regarding this incident. PT INKA Public Relations Staff Advin Hidayat said his party was conducting an investigation.
“Currently our team is still investigating,” he said when confirmed.
