Jablonec won the derby over Liberec, the Council was motivated by the statement of the owner of Slovan about expulsion

The Jablonec footballers defeated the 24th round of the first league in the hit in the battle for third place in the table of neighboring Liberec 2: 1. Ivan Schranz opened the score for the Podještěd derby in the 17th minute, equalized by Michael Rabušic in the 52nd minute, but the home team Vojtěch Kubista decided in just two minutes. The people of Jablonec also won the second duel with Liberec in this league season.

The visiting Slovan lost for the first time after seven rounds and from the fourth place of the incomplete table he loses three points to the North Bohemian rival, in addition he has one more match on his account. The Jablonec team won the league for the third time in a row, scoring full points at home after two matches.

“The derby is always very prestigious for us. We won it, I’m happy for that. I have to praise the team for their commitment and approach, there was a lot of football on our side in this terrain,” said Jablonec coach Petr Rada at an online press conference. .

Surprisingly, the winger Pešek started one of the Liberec supports only on the bench. Koscelník pulled a real crowd pleaser as he, after 69 minutes, wove through the guests’ entire central defense and put the 1 – 0 equalizer away.

With 12 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 – 0 lead as Knobloch flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. In the next five minutes, the Jablonec people were already leading. After Hanuš’s kick, Jovovič released Schranze and he did not hesitate in front of the visiting goalkeeper. The Slovak striker confirmed his position as the best team scorer with the eighth goal in the league season.

Despite the difficult terrain and occasional snowfall, brisk football was played. In the 38th minute, Chaluš, Liberec, pushed to the end after a corner kick, but missed in distress.

“Liberec was a little better for the first three or four minutes, but then we took the baton. We got into the lead, we managed the first half very well,” said Rada, who led Liberec in the past.

The Slavs managed to cope only seven minutes after the break. The home keeper was stunned 6 minutes into the match when he misjudged the free kick by Rondiče and dived in the wrong direction.

Unlike the last round, the best Liberec scorer of the league year, Rabušic, changed the penalty kick, although Hanuš caught the direction of the shot. “I appreciate Ramba that after the last unchanged penalty he has the nerve to take it again. But in the end the penalty was useless to us,” said Liberec coach Pavel Hoftych.

The people of Jablonec soon took the lead back. Kubista jumped on a corner kick at the end of the 54th minute and sent the ball to the back post with a high arc. The home quarterback celebrated Friday’s 28th birthday.

“Krobík (Krob) kicked it beautifully, I managed to lick it perfectly and it fit beautifully on the back pole. The goal was extremely important, because we managed to react very quickly to the collected goal. Maybe the whole match broke. Mostly when the opponents “they manage to balance, they are on horseback for a while. We directed them back to the ground,” said Kubista.

“Unfortunately we collected very fast. Kubista was beautiful in the jump, he hit it beautifully. There are mistakes in football, we didn’t defend it. For the first time in the spring we got more than one goal,” Hoftych regretted.

After 64 minutes, Pešek got through on the right and was very close to equalizing for the home side, but didn’t get the shot away. With 84 minutes played, Jovovič could have brought this one home for Knobloch as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. In the end, they kept the home lead.

“Even though we tried to do something else with the match, we couldn’t score a goal anymore. We lost, the home team was one step better. The opponent pushed us,” said Hoftych.

The victory over Liberec made the Jablonec coach Peter Rad especially happy. This is due to an old statement by the owner of Slovan, Ludvík Karel, who was said to be surprised that the Council had not been fired yet:
