Jablonec Council exploded in the press: I will not speak in the closets, I will not be offended

After winning 1: 0 in the opening round of the new league season over Ostrava, the coach of the Jablonec football players sharply condemned the regulations of the League Football Association (LFA) stating that journalists could no longer attend the press conferences in person due to coronavirus.

The 62-year-old former coach of the Czech national team is offended that he has to speak to walls and closets and is in contact with journalism only remotely online. He does not understand what they are then tested and vaccinated for. He lacks contact with the media.

“This may be one of my last press releases. I won’t be offended to talk to the wall here. Let them sit at the LFA and think about it a little bit. I don’t see why journalists can’t come, they’re being tested like us. It’s below my level. “to speak in the closet here. I will be 63 years old and I will not speak in the air here. I was not born to speak into the wall here,” Rada said emotionally at an online press conference after the match with Baník.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the first league has been conducted in the first league according to the LFA manual, which conducts professional competitions, press conferences and interviews for most journalists in the Czech Republic online. The exception is television, which broadcasts matches. Its reporters may ask the actors personally at the playing field, but they must keep their spacing and have their mouths and noses covered.

The same rules apply to journalists as to other stadium visitors. They must have a respirator in place at all times and, like spectators, present infectivity. They can only get to stadiums with a negative coronavirus test, a vaccination certificate or confirmation that they have undergone covid-19 in the last 180 days. Antigen tests must not be older than 72 hours, PCR samples for seven days. At least 14 days must have passed since the vaccination was completed.

“This is discrimination. Journalists are sitting here (in the stadium) and they can’t come. Do you know what I’ll do one day? I’ll go out, call journalists and make a press release with them. Or I’ll come to the press to avoid being fined, but I’ll be strict – good, “We are both trained monkeys in the zoo and people can go and see those monkeys. Journalists belong to football and if they are also tested, they can be here,” said Rada.

“If it doesn’t offend anyone, yes. It can be a journalist from Baník, from Mladá Boleslav, I don’t care. They can sew into me, but let them be here. Damn it. I’m already annoyed. A journalist from Ostrava is coming here and he will be “Sitting behind the wall? Where are we? It doesn’t bother me,” Rada added.

While journalists personally cannot attend press conferences, stadium auditoriums with a capacity of up to 5,000 seats may be 100% full from the new season. Five thousand fans can go to stadiums for five to ten thousand people, and half of the seats can be occupied in arenas with more than ten thousand, keeping the spacing.

“We’re vaccinated to be ready. Then I’ll be vaccinated, I have two doses and I can’t communicate with anyone. So should I take the third, fourth dose? Is it wrong. It’s not that we’re breaking any rules, it could go up numerically “Not about that,” the Council added.
