Jabal Al Mukaber is the champion of the Palestinian Professional League for the first time in its history
Jabal Al-Mukaber won the Palestinian Professional Football League title, on Wednesday, after overturning its deficit against Taraji Wadi Al-Nussa to a big victory 5-2, in the opening of the penultimate 21st round of the tournament.
The quintet, the defending champion, were scored by Walid Al-Qanbar “two goals”, Muhammad Al-Mashah and Aref Al-Haj “two goals”, while Zaid Al-Qanbar missed a penalty kick in the 66th minute, while Wadi Al-Niss scored two goals for Muhammad Nidal.
In the match that took place at the “Al-Khader” stadium, in the presence of a large crowd, Jabal Al-Mukaber succeeded in officially crowning the title after reaching the 52nd point, thus ensuring superiority over its neighbor Hilal Al-Quds (46 points), even if the latter won in its next two matches.
Al-Makbar outperforms its direct competitor by direct confrontations, while Al-Khalil Youth’s balance stopped at 44 points in third place, while Al-Dhahiriya Youth comes fourth with 42 points.
Al-Makbeer won the Professional League title for the first time in its history, despite winning the Premier League title in the West Bank in the 2009-2010 season under the leadership of coach Samir Issa, who returned after 13 years and led Al-Makbeer to win the first professional title in the club’s history.
