Jaap Stam, former Manchester United defender, is worried about Erik ten Hag and the pressure the coach continues to be under, after the team’s goodbye to European competitions. The 51-year-old former Dutch player fears for his compatriot’s future at the helm of the Red Devils. “He [Ten Hag] You have to be worried about what will happen. You can suspend players, but it’s all about man management and how to deal with footballers”, he began by explaining on the ‘Stick to Football’ podcast, after yesterday’s defeat with Bayern Munich (1-0)na Champions.

“There was the issue of [Cristiano] Ronaldo, the question of [Jadon] Sancho, Varane – I don’t know if anything happened. There is the issue of the press and journalists who are banned from press conferences. All this does not work in your favor. Peace and tranquility are needed. The last thing a coach needs is to pay attention to things like players and the press. You have to be 100% focused and not talk about players or what they think of you as a coach,” he added.
And finally, he assured: “I care about him, so it would be good if he achieved good results.”
