JA News – Snapchat crash sees 40,000 users blocked out of app – Journal d’Afrique

Over 40,000 problem reports posted to website in one of the biggest server issues of 2021

Snapchat, the popular messaging service, went down last night, with users reporting they couldn’t open the app on multiple platforms.

The problem continued until the early hours of the morning, with thousands of reports of connection issues.

Users took to Twitter to complain about the issues, with some saying the Snapchat app wouldn’t even open. Others have reported that they can access normal features, but the app is crashing.

One of them posted: “I thought it was just me. So I uninstalled Snapchat, and when I wanted to re-enter my login details, it said “uh, oh. Something went wrong ; Try again later. ”

It’s unclear what caused the loss of service, but over 40,000 reports have been posted on the Downdetector site, making it one of the biggest server issues of 2021 to date.

Her support team on Twitter shared a message confirming that she was aware of the issues, telling users, “We are aware of an issue preventing some Snapchatters from signing in. Wait, we’re looking at it and working on a fix! ”
