J Balvin was caught running through the streets of New York like never before.
The Colombian has had a great time visiting different places in New York to record the video for his new single Your poison, which just premiered this weekend.
The artist enjoyed going completely unnoticed for the first time in a long time. In fact, when entering a store they have even assured him that he looked a lot like a famous singer.
“I came to Queens and the lady says I look like… who? AJ Balvin, ”he said, unable to contain his laughter in a video recorded inside what appears to be a cafe, while the salesgirl answered from behind the counter that it was ‘just the same’.
This weekend J Balvin surprised his followers with the launch of a new song which will be part of his second album. Tu Veneno, as this new track was titled, talks about those relationships that are impossible to leave and that, although the other person is already with someone else, it is impossible to let them go.
Your poison aired after the release of the single Ma G, which Billboard commented “marks Balvin’s return to rap roots,” and was released during the Álvarez / Avni Yildirim fight last month where Balvin joined his friend and # 1 active boxer in the world, Canelo Álvarez, to the ring.
The song was produced by Sky Rompiendo and Taiko, who have accompanied Balvin for years on his latest songs, while the video was directed by José Sagaro and produced by Filmheads.
The Colombian is one of the most listened to multi-platinum artists today. He has more than 48 billion views during his career and more than 55 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
He is the most listened to Latin singer on the platform and the sixth in the world. His influence and reach have transcended cultural borders, he was recently named one of the 100 Most Influential People of 2020.
