The Jordanian artist, Iyad Nassar, explained that hesitation was always accompanying him in his rejection and acceptance of any role, and he said in an exclusive interview with the “Fuchsia” website: “Rejecting a certain role does not mean that it is a monster. Every actor is free. I don’t like anyone who says he apologized for what role.” Because you apologize for something that is not appropriate for you, not for anyone else.”
Nassar commented on his regret for rejecting some roles, saying: “Once I rejected a very nice role because I knew that I would not do it well, and I told the director that there are actors who will do this role better than me, and if I did it, I would do it normally, and it was, and the actor who took it wanted this role in another place.” Director Ali has the right to give him the best I can. I know myself that in this area I lack a lot and I will not be able to do it.”
Regarding the privacy of his family and their distance from the audience, he said: “I love the love that the audience gives me for sure, but there are times when you feel that your privacy is not a very important area for people. How do I live and go, where is this my life, and these are the moments when I am far from the actor, I appear in my pajamas and go out.” I buy rubbish from the supermarket. I practice it while forgetting that I am an actor, and I practice it as a father and as a husband. Moments comfort me, so I don’t like to open them to people. They comfort me.”
Iyad Nassar added that his young son, Ibrahim, had an important influence on him: “He made me younger, and he has renewed energy and a state of childhood, and when I remove it, it is as if I am sitting on the shore of the sea, and it withdraws all the negative energy from me.”
Iyad revealed his wish to present a series concerned with the Arabic language, saying: “The stage of historical series was important in my life, as it strengthened me in the Arabic language, and anything related to the Arabic language I am present in it. Two days ago, a friend of mine was writing a poetry collection, so I recorded it in my own voice because I love poetry and the language.” Arabic has always been connected to it in one way or another.”
