In addition to Iwan Bule, PSSI management was also invited to step down because it was felt that they had failed to provide safety and comfort to the competition.
However, in Sonhadji’s eyes, resigning in a critical situation right now is not a manly attitude for the PSSI president or his management.
“Yes, as a PSSI administrator, resignation is not a good deed to address issues like this,” Sonhadji told reporters after being questioned by Komnas HAM on Thursday (13/10).
“If I say like Exco PSSI, if conditions like this once again require thinking, it takes various things, so the president resigns, not as a man,” Sonhadji added.
Sonhadji admitted that he urged Iwan Bule not to resign from his position as PSSI president.
“I said earlier, I told my friend he was the president general. If you resign, it’s not manly. That’s right,” Sonhadji said.
“I will tell my friend later, the president general, if you resign, I will say that you are not manly,” continued Sonhadji.
The request for the resignation of Iwan Bule and the PSI management did not come only through ‘shouts’ on social media, but also gave rise to two petitions that have so far received more than 45 thousand signatures.
