“Resignation is not the answer. Instead, as a form of responsibility as PSSI President General, he should not resign. Agum also appreciated Iriawan who went directly to Malang and met the families of the victims, both at the hospital and at the residence.
“In fact, I heard that I was in Malang for 7 days and went to the victim’s family and Kanjuruhan. I think this is also a form of responsibility. I appreciate that,” he said.
In addition, Agum also added that the general president of PSSI and Exco must also accept any decision or recommendation of the Joint Independent Fact Finding Team (TGIPF) formed by the government through the Ministry of Coordination for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.
“Take that as an input and then implement it. Anyone would want football competition in the country to be better. Competition is the heart of football. If there is no competition, it is tasteless. That’s why good competition will produce a good national team too.”
Agum also advised to keep repeating the 3 taboos. He once echoed this slogan when he was PSSI general president.
The 3 taboos are: First, players don’t fight on the pitch for any reason. Second, don’t overdo the referee. There is a mechanism to protest against the court judge. Third, he must not be involved in corruption.
“If the 3 taboos are implemented, I believe the competition will run well and correctly and will definitely be fun to watch and entertain,” said Agum.
Agum also asks anyone who wants to advance to become President General PSSI fight in the Extraordinary Congress (KLB) at the end of 2023. “Please fight there. Who is the best will surely be chosen by the voter (voters), ” she said.
