General Chairman PSSI Mochamad Iriawan ‘flick’ the representative Police who was present at the PSSI Annual Congress, while giving a speech, at the Rafles Hotel, South Jakarta, Saturday (29/6).
Indeed, the one who was invited to the congress was the National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo. However, the person concerned was unable to attend, so he was represented by the National Police Chief of Traffic, Inspector General Pol. Istiono.
When giving a speech, to Istiono, Iwan Bule mentioned the permit for the 2021 Liga 1 competition which has not been officially announced by the Police.
“Earlier, we heard it together, sir, earlier someone shouted to issue a League 1 permit. It’s out already [rekomendasi keramaian], it just hasn’t been declared yet,” said Iriawan in his speech.
Iriawan added that PSSI’s coordination with the National Police was going well. Assisted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the permit for the competition, which is planned to start in the first week of July, has received the green light.
“During a meeting with the Menpora a few days ago, it was announced that the permit for Liga 1 would be issued on May 27. However, the National Police Chief is still in Papua, so let’s wait for the official announcement from the Police,” said Iriawan.
Meanwhile, regarding the Indonesian national team program, Iriawan emphasized that the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam must lead to a gold medal.
This target is non-negotiable. Because according to Iriawan, by winning gold, the Red and White Team could avenge the 0-2 defeat to Vietnam at the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines.
“Later we will reply to Vietnam in his country,” said Iriawan, who is familiarly called Iwan Bule.
This retired police officer also announced that the PSSI Congress had received the blessing of the Covid-19 Task Force, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Sports, and the National Police Headquarters.
Besides being attended by 87 representatives of PSSI voice owners, Menpora Zainudin Amali, KONI chairman Marciano Norman, PSSI coach Agum Gumelar, also representatives of the National Police, Inspector General Pol. Istiono.
The one who opened this congress was Zainudin Amali. After giving a speech, Amali inaugurated the PSSI Congress by hitting the gong.
