Yamoussoukro, September 22, 2024 (AIP) – The first CSR (corporate social responsibility) manager of the EPC company, Cedrick Durand, welcomed the strengthening of ties with local populations in Yamoussoukro.
“For us, integrating into local communities is a big deal. This type of competition promotes cohesion,” said Mr. Durand, after a football tournament funded entirely by his company.
Organized from September 8, the tournament moved six cities for more than a month.
“It’s an important event, but EPC partners with communities throughout the year to promote good living and respect,” he said.
The peace and social cohesion competition, called “Anouhanzè”, also made it possible to carry out important social actions, such as the restoration of the roof of a primary school and the creation of a borehole to provide drinking water.
For fun, the host city team, Duokro, won the cup (1-0) against Grominankro.
