Béoumi, August 11, 2024 (AIP) – The President of the Court of Cassation, Yua Koffi, donated on Saturday, August 10, 2024, a batch of medical equipment and medicines to the Béoumi general hospital.
This donation includes mattresses, gallows, spectrophotometers and pharmaceutical products, with a total value of 15 million FCFA.
During the presentation, Yua Koffi indicated that this gesture represents for him a duty of recognition, having been born in this hospital. He announced his intention to extend his support to other sectors and called on the executives of the region to join him in improving the well-being of the populations of Béoumi.
The president of the court of cassation also gave a sum of 400,000 FCFA to the four new mothers at the hospital, or 100,000 FCFA per person.
The departmental health director of Béoumi, Dr. Achy Mathurin, expressed his satisfaction with this donation, stressing in particular the importance of the spectrophotometer, a medical equipment worth three million FCFA, which was lacking in the hospital. Dr. Achy assured that the equipment and medicines will be used wisely.
