Iveta Bartošová: A Look into Her Troubled Life and Career

The plot of the last series continues from the previous two. Iveta Bartošová is caught in it as a woman who lost most of her certainty in her life a long time ago. Thirteen years after Ladislav left Štaidl, her world changed beyond recognition. Her records are not selling like they used to, but she believes she will sing again.

She has an unsuccessful marriage with Jiří Pomej behind her, but she believes that true love is still waiting for her.

And above all, she has by her side the person who cares the most – her teenage son Artur. It is for him that he wants to win the battle with his own demons. He is the one who stands by her, even when things are not going well and the tabloids are waiting for her every mistake…

The Iveta series will be available on Voyo from Friday, May 10. The second series is now also broadcast by TV Nova, it belongs to the last Sunday nights. On the upcoming one, i.e. on May 5, from 9:35 p.m., the three-part documentary You Know Little, which gives a new look at Iveta Bartošová’s career from the 1980s to the 2000s.

“I believe that the most fundamental difference is that the story of Iveta Bartošová was told before by the tabloids, and above all by men. On the other hand, we repeat it mostly through women or people who have no reason to parasitize the tragedy.” the director of the documentary, Tomáš Klein, says:

“Therefore, we are interested in the opinion of Michal Penek, who joined Iveta in show business and experienced its dark side, including falling to the bottom. Or Tereza Pergnerová, who went through a very difficult life path. These are people who can take a close look at the problems in show business and at the same time they both have a strong relationship with Iveta.”

It seems that TV Nova wants to hinder the success of the competition with a Sunday afternoon dedicated to Iveta Bartošová. While the series Iveta dominated the audience on the previous Sunday, it was taken over by the ČT mini-series By-product directed by Peter Bebjak.

He cast two famous Slovak-Czech actors in the main roles of his other criminal from Ostrava: Tomáš Maštalír and Martin Hofmann. In terms of viewership statistics, hundreds of thousands of viewers crossed TV Nova at the same time.
