I asked Deputy Prime Minister Vassilev about the Lukoil refinery and the price at which he buys Urals oil. Several shocking things become clear from his answer. This is what the MP from “Democratic Bulgaria” Ivaylo Mirchev wrote on Facebook.
1. At the entrance and exit of Lukoil Neftochim stands the Litasco company, which sells Urals oil to the refinery at a price of $ 35 per barrel higher than the market value. As a result, the direct loss for Bulgarian consumers amounts to over BGN 200 million per month.
2. The refinery uses different types of oil (outside of Russia) and has no problem refining oil from Tunisia or Iraq.
3. Lukoil Neftochim can produce fuels at a significantly lower final price, as long as it buys oil at market prices instead of those set by Litasco.
Conclusion: Litasco is at the entrance and exit of the Burgas refinery. That’s why she doesn’t make any profits – they stay in Litasco. Litasco is registered in Switzerland and it is very clear where the profits generated by Lukoil Neftochim go – instead of in the state budget, in the pockets of Litasco owners.
