The lead singer was 86 years old.
Songwriter and singer Ivar Konrad Simastuen passed away on 20 February.
Simastuen was born in Kvikne in Nord-Østerdalen on 31 December, and will be buried from Ski medieval church on Wednesday this week, according to the obituary in Aftenposten.

The lead singer’s biggest hit was the hurtful “Brunen” from the LP “Prestekrager og timotei”, which came out in 1972. According to Wikipedia, the record spent 32 weeks on the VG list with second place as the best position.
He was a regular at Ønskekonserten on NRK, and also performed on programs such as Da Capo! and do you remember
Simastuen was educated and worked as a sheriff’s officer and in the Criminal Police Center next door worked as a musician.
Lost his wife 17 days before
He died just 17 days after his wife Marit, born in 1935.
«Ivar was Kviknegut at heart, which is reflected in many of the lyrics on his records. We think of his children who first lost their mother 17 days ago, and now their father… We light a candle and thank Marit and Ivar for good memories», says a memorial from the dance band Kviknegut on Facebook.
