“Ivar Jenner Joins Indonesian National Team for Matches Against Palestine and Argentina”

Ivar Jenner those who have just completed the naturalization process are immediately entrusted with wearing the uniform Indonesian National team in preparation against Palestine and Argentina.

Jenner’s club, FC Utrecht, announced that the player who plays as a midfielder has received a call-up to the Indonesian national team.

“Congratulations on your call to @pssi, Ivar Jenner!” wrote the FC Utrecht Instagram account, which was accompanied by a photo of Jenner.

“Immediately enter the training camp, immediately for practice matches against Palestine and Argentina,” continued the statement on the upload.

Jenner officially received Indonesian Citizen status on Monday (22/5) together with Rafael Struick.

These two players add to the list of naturalized players in Shin Tae Yong’s coaching era. Previously, Jordi Amat, Sandy Walsh and Shayne Pattynama had received Indonesian passports first.

Jenner will enliven the midfield competition in the Indonesian national team, which so far has contained a line of players such as Marc Klok, Rachmat Irianto, Ricky Kambuaya, Syahrian Abimanyu, Marselino Ferdinan and Evan Dimas.

The Indonesian national team will face Palestine and Argentina on the June 2023 FIFA Matchday. The Red and White squad will face Palestine at the Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, while the match against Argentina will be hosted at the Bung Karno Main Stadium.

PSSI has not yet released the list of players who will strengthen the Indonesian National Team in the mid-month match, but there are already clubs that have announced the call-up of players for the international match.

Apart from FC Utrecht, Persib Bandung announced Marc Klok, Ricky Kambuaya, Rachmat Irianto and Edo Febriansah on Wednesday (24/5).
