Ivanka Trump, reading and relaxing time in the Miami sun | People

On the morning of a Monday in February in Washington, in addition to the freezing cold, Ivanka Trump would have faced meetings, papers, negotiations and a job almost unknown to the general public but, from what she and her husband have tried to demonstrate during recent years, high level. Within the White House ruled by their father, Trump and Jared Kushner had a fair share of power, especially during the first half of the term. But last January, with the departure of Donald Trump from power, his daughter and son-in-law also packed their bags. And, like him, they have left for the Florida heat.

The minimum temperature in Miami these days is 22 degrees; in Washington DC, -1º. A change of scenery that has led to another of attitude in Ivanka. Far seem to be her frenetic days, her perfect hairstyles and those outfits that made her one of the most observed (and often applauded) women in the capital. Now Trump, 39, takes life differently.

This past Monday she could be seen having breakfast on the terrace of her apartment in a relaxed way with one of her children. Ivanka Trump, barefoot, wore a cotton beach dress, sunglasses and her hair tied back in a bun. Lying on a deck chair, she answers calls on her cell phone while reading a book, and at times she sits at the table while her seven-year-old son, Joseph, dressed in a school uniform, eats breakfast.

The Kushner-Trumps have traded the country’s capital for warm Miami, where they have rented an apartment a stone’s throw from the sea. In the city they have been discovered for weeks enjoying a few hours on the beach or going to buy ice cream. Ivanka has also been seen leaving her apartment with her children or running with her dog, Winter, and a member of your security team.

His block of flats is called Surfside Art and it is one of the most exclusive in the city. It has 16 apartments with open and bright interiors and large glazed terraces, it has several indoor and outdoor swimming pools (one of them on the terrace of the building), as well as tennis courts. According to the newspaper Wall Street Journal, Surfside Art is one of the most expensive buildings in the city. It is estimated that they pay about $ 47,000, almost 39,000 euros, monthly rent. In fact, a triplex penthouse in it was sold a couple of months ago for more than $ 27 million.

When they lived in Washington, in the exclusive neighborhood of Kalorama, the Kushner-Trumps rented a house to the Chilean millionaire Andrónico Luksic for which they paid 15,000 euros a month and where they lived with their three children and two nannies. It is estimated that the couple earned about 200 million in 2017, and about 120 in 2020.

The family intends to settle in Florida, and for this, in addition to leaving Washington, they have sold their New York apartment for 33 million dollars (a little more than 27.3 million euros). In addition, a couple of months ago it became known that they have bought a piece of land in the luxurious area of Indian Creek for 32 million (26.4 million euros). With only 34 homes, this is one of the most exclusive areas in the world, linked to the city by a single bridge and where Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady or Adriana Lima also have houses.

That plot, on which they are building a house, was owned by Julio Iglesias, who put it up for sale in 2017. The land has 7,200 square meters, 244 meters of private beach and a pier directly to the sea. In addition, this private island is just over an hour from the golf club and the Mar-a-Lago mansion, where former President Trump plans to live most of the year.
