Former President Donald Trump (76) has this week again had the spotlight directed at him, after he was officially indicted in a criminal case on Tuesday this week.
Trump is accused, among other things, of paying porn actress Stormy Daniels $130,000 before the 2016 election to get her to keep quiet about an alleged affair from 2006.
– She is angry
After the court hearing, he flew home to Florida, where he gave a speech and claimed that he is the victim of a political witch hunt.
There was neither his wife Melania Trump (52) nor his daughter Ivanka Trump (41) to be seen. While the reason for the former’s absence is not known, believes New York Post that Ivanka prioritized being somewhere completely different this time.
That’s why she didn’t come
When Trump’s presidency came to an end, several people speculated whether his daughter Ivanka could be a possible future candidate for the White House.
Last year, however, she made it resoundingly clear that she is done with politics. It was also recently claimed that Ivanka is constantly distancing herself from her father, and that she “knows how impossible he can be”.
However, that should not have been the reason why she was not present during her father’s speech on Tuesday.
“Disappeared”
According to New York Post Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner (42) were and are in the state of Wyoming, where they used to spend the Easter holidays over the past few years.
Trump reportedly met his daughter on Sunday, while she and her husband “support him as a family member,” a source told the website.
– She can’t help him
Evaporated
Ever since Trump stepped down as president a year and a half ago, the former first lady has almost evaporated. The same also applies to his son Barron (17).
In Tuesday’s speech, Trump thanked his children, while his wife’s name was not mentioned. It is not known how Melania has actually reacted to the many charges the former president has against her, but according to an old friend, she is “angry”.
– I never expected to see her there. Her silence is intentional. It’s her weapon of choice and her protective armor, Stephanie told Winston Wolkoff Page Six.
