After the death of her husband and her daughters, Ivana Gottová withdrew into seclusion and rarely appears in society. But the widow made an exception a few days ago and went to the center of Prague for Sunday lunch together with her daughters and a family friend.

Gottová and the young ladies enjoyed a sunny day in the garden restaurant in Žofín, where luxurious brunches take place every Sunday until three o’clock.
Three generations allowed themselves to be spoiled during the morning with various delicacies. Ivana indulged herself in prosecco and they tasted goodies together. During lunch, according to Bleska reporters, they had a friendly chat and it was clear that they were really enjoying the pleasant family gathering. Around three o’clock, the four got up and left the company in good spirits.
New projects are on the way
After Karel Gott’s death, Ivana Gottová devotes herself to the legacy she inherited from her husband in addition to her daughters. The beautiful widow completed the feature film Karel, published the autobiographical book My Journey to Happiness and, according to the findings of the newspaper Aha! in recent weeks, she started another interesting project connected with the work about Slavík.
The life story of Karel Gott is told by Igor Bareš and is going to be broadcast by Czech Radio this summer. The basis of the story is precisely the singer’s biographical book My Journey to Happiness. Thanks to her, the dramaturgs of the radio compiled at least seven hours of reading for the sequel. “Mr. Bareš was chosen on the radio after an agreement with Mrs. Gottová. He has a very pleasant voice and is very nice to listen to,” a radio source told ahaonline.cz. “The reading will also feature Mr. Gott’s artificial intelligence voice,” the insider revealed.
The Dvojka station should broadcast the entire reading for the continuation on July 14, when Gott would have celebrated his 84th birthday. “It was a great honor for me. For me, everything has already been read and filmed, now everything is in the hands of the directors and technicians,” Bareš added, confirming at the same time that the reading should also be released on audio after the broadcast, either in the form of a CD or one of the paid audio platforms. All this will be taken care of by Ivana Gottová herself.
