Ivan Ivanov with the award for overall creativity of the Union of Filmmakers


The awards of the Union of Filmmakers “Vasil Gendov” for 2022 were presented at an official ceremony last night at the National Theater.

The festival presents Bulgarian cinema from the last 18 months

“German lessons” received the award for best feature film at the National Festival of Bulgarian Cinema “Vasil Gendov”, reported by Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers.

The award of the director Pavel Vesnakov was presented by Krzysztof Zanussi, guest of honor at the special ceremony.



The actor Ivan Ivanov was awarded the prize for overall creativity.

The festival awarded the best films in three competition sections – for feature, documentary and animated films, the achievements of each profession in cinema, as well as the work of film theorists and critics.
