/ world today news/ The governor of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) Ivan Iskrov currently has no prospects of becoming a client of the prosecutor’s office and can feel calm.
Research by our media found that to date, none of the defendants for the embezzlement of the Corporate Commercial Bank (KTB) has given testimony that would incriminate Iskrov in the commission of a crime.
The manager of the Central Treasury was not named as a violator of the law by his deputy Tsvetan Gunev, who was brought to criminal responsibility for a crime in the line of duty.
3 days ago, the prosecutor’s office asked the court to remove Gunev so as not to influence witnesses.
However, the court panel pointed out that at this stage there is no data to indicate that there is a danger that Gunev will influence witnesses.
It seems that at this stage Gunev kept his cool and did not drown Iskrov.
Biser Lazov did not act like that, however, who became the main witness against Tsvetan Vassilev, even though he had been his right-hand man for more than ten years.
At this stage, the prospects of Iskrov parting with his post due to problems with justice seem illusory. Which practically means that the governor of the Central Treasury will retain his key position in the country at least until the election of a new government and the formation of the next National Assembly, unless he decides to voluntarily step down before then.
