The crash of Iván Garcia in the final sprint of the Scheldeprijs costs him participation in the Tour of Flanders. The Spaniard of Bahrain McLaren suffered a crack in a carpal bone in the crash. In addition, his shoulder dislocated.
Garcia fell in the last straight line of the Scheldeprijs because he fell over the fallen August Jensen. He could no longer avoid the rider of Riwal-Securitas.
“Ultimately, I appear to have a rupture in my carpal bone and a shoulder dislocation,” Garcia writes on social media. “It looks like I can’t drive classics this year.”
The classic Bahrain McLaren leader therefore keeps the door ajar, but fears the end of his season. The Three Days of Bruges-De Panne next week is also on his program. ()
Finally scaphoid rupture and shoulder dislocation .. it seems that this year I am not running any classics????
