Ivan Belishki exclusively told bTV that he did not threaten deputies from “Vazrazhdane” with murder. The son of the mayor of Panagyurishte was detained earlier this evening in Sofia during a spectacular police action.
“I did not threaten. Stoyan Taslakov hit me in front of the entrance. There are cameras, we are waiting for the pre-trial proceedings to finish,” he said.
Belishki was taken by ambulance to the hospital for facial injuries. He will then be taken to the custody of a regional police station.
When asked why he was injured, he explained that MP Stoyan Taslakov and masked persons had hit him.
Earlier this evening, MPs from “Vazrazhdane” reported that MP Stoyan Taslakov was attacked and threatened with a gun by Ivan Belishki.
The press center of the party reported that he is the second deputy from the party whom Belishki systematically threatened with murder. The police are investigating the report.
After Ivan Belishki’s statement on bTV, Stoyan Taslakov replied to him on his Facebook page. He writes that last week Belishki threatened him on the street in front of a female friend of his, and after filing a complaint with the police and prosecutor’s office, today he met him and attacked him in almost the same place.
