Financial expert Lubomir Karimanski may be the head of the BNB
The only post without comment is of the Minister of Finance – he is for Asen Vassilev, they are categorical from “We continue the change”
Daniel Lorer option for foreign minister, Nikolai Denkov for education
TOthe compromise is needed and will be made in the name of the common goal of having a cabinet.
This was stated by the leader of “There is such a people” Slavi Trifonov to BNR when asked whether he and his party have swallowed their objections against the leaders of “We continue the change” Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev.
On the day of the vote, Trifonov announced that he was already “humble” because there must be a regular government.
Compromises have already been reached, for specific people, despite initial assurances that working groups will first agree on coalition policies and then look for specific implementers.
Trifonov, Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev have already managed to negotiate the presidency in the parliament, 24 Chasa has learned. According to sources from Slavi’s party, for the third time in a row, the first among the deputies will be Iva Miteva, who chaired both the 45th and 46th parliaments.
At the meeting of the leaders of “We continue the change” and Slavi Trifonov on Tuesday, other names were discussed. Like that of the financier from “There is such a people” Lubomir Karimanski. His name was proposed by ITN as finance minister in a future government. However, they received a reply that the only non-negotiable post was in the finance ministry. It was supposed to be for Asen Vassilev. Then ITN proposed that Karimanski be the new head of the BNB, as the mandate of the bank’s management expired. The financial expert from Trifonov’s party was already nominated as the new head of the BNB during the 46th National Assembly, he also headed the budget committee of the short summer parliament. Trifonov’s people also had appetites for the Ministry of Agriculture.
However, officially the leader of ITN yesterday explained that the policies of the future government will be agreed first, and only then the appointments. However, Trifonov gave almost full support for the formation of a cabinet in the 47th parliament. In addition to ITN, Petkov and Vassilev are negotiating a coalition with the BSP and Democratic Bulgaria.
He told BNR about his meeting with Petkov and Vassilev Trifonov yesterday, emphasizing that it was on their initiative and they talked about the future. That’s why he expressed his support for their government on Facebook on Tuesday.
“They came and I was already convinced,” Trifonov said of his conversation with Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev. However, he did not announce the red lines of ITN in these negotiations.
“A compromise is needed and will be made. If, as we have seen, the DB and the BSP are not able to make this type of compromise, a coalition will not happen, “Trifonov added. He explained that sharp relations with PP leaders are a thing of the past. In the 46th parliament, ITN was the first to reveal Petkov’s dual citizenship, and Vassilev was attacked as a fraud.
“We continue the change” also expanded its list of candidates for ministers yesterday, after so far they had officially nominated only their leaders Kiril Petkov for prime minister and Asen Vassilev for finance minister.
The businessman and new MP from the Parliament Daniel Lorer will be their candidate for Minister of Foreign Affairs, he announced yesterday in an interview with BTV. It was also discussed that the caretaker Minister Nikolay Denkov should remain at the head of education. A day earlier, Denkov himself commented that he needed to see what policies the coalition had set in this area before saying whether it could implement them.
The owner of Econt, Nikolay Sabev, who became the biggest sponsor of the PP’s election campaign, is the coalition’s candidate for transport minister.
However, these are just ideas and negotiations with other political forces are forthcoming, Laurer said. He said that at the meetings between the parties he had not heard anyone object to Petkov being prime minister.
