Iva Miteva Suing Parliament for Dismissal: Administrative Court Case Update

Iva Miteva is suing the parliament because of her dismissal from the parliament, reported FOCUS.

This is clear from the page of the Administrative Court in Sofia.

The former Speaker of the National Assembly and MP from the “There is such a people” parliamentary group was dismissed from the position of director of the Directorate “Legislative Activity and Law of the European Union”, and then the Speaker of the 49th National Assembly, Rosen Zhelyazkov, completely closed the unit.

After her dismissal, Iva Miteva commented to “Focus” that this act was “political repression”. Even then, she announced that she would appeal her release.

The administrative court considered the appeal of the former national representative at the end of November. Then the case was also given a move, since no procedural obstacles were found for it.

Miteva did not attend the first meeting in person, she was represented by a lawyer. The court schedules the next hearing in the case to be on 02/21/2024 at 2:30 p.m.
